The Alabama Orchestra Association, announces its annual Composers Competition for a work to be performed by the Alabama All State Festival Orchestra during our annual All State Orchestra Festival. We seek compositions for full orchestra composed within the last two years and never published or performed in public. The winning composer will win $1,500 and a public performance plus residency at the Alabama All State Orchestra Festival. 2012-2013 submission deadline is October 1, 2012 for rehearsal and performance February 7-10, 2013 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
