University of Utah New Music Ensemble - Composition Competition

The object is to have new works presented in concert that fit the capabilities of a college-level ensemble whose members have a varied degree of experience in the performance of contemporary music.

Works for 2-6 instruments may be submitted chosen from the following:
Flute (alto/picc.)
Clarinet (bc)
Violin
Cello
Piano
Percussion
Pieces may include pre-recorded electronics.

Open to composers of any age or nationality.
Competition winners receive a performance by the New Music Ensemble on one of the concerts given at the University of Utah.
There is no entrance fee and no cash prize.

Performance materials must be immediately available.
