Open to: All composers, no restrictions

Prize: Selected compositions will be performed by Central Michigan University’s student-run new music ensemble; composers will receive a recording of the live performance.

The Central Michigan University New Music Ensemble is an entirely student-run group dedicated to the performance of new compositions by living composers. The ensemble is currently seeking new works for performance in the 2012-2013 academic year.
Submission details:

1.Works must be for either open instrumentation or any combination of saxophone and percussion (such works must include saxophone and percussion parts- saxophone quartets or percussion-only chamber works will not be considered)

2.Works must be for a minimum of three and maximum of fifteen players

3.There is no maximum or minimum duration, but preference is given to works between 5 and 15 minutes in length

4.Works may include fixed media

5.Composers are strongly encouraged to include links to some sort of audio realization (MIDI, live performance, etc.) of their scores.

6. Please submit all materials electronically (pdf/mp3 format only. Links to files strongly preferred)
