Queen Elisabeth Composition Competition 2011

Composition competition for a work for violin and symphony orchestra, to be played in the final of the Queen Elisabeth International Music Competition of Belgium for violinists in 2012 (Brussels Centre for Fine Arts).

The work, which can be in any form, must last about 10 minutes and be written for violin accompanied by a symphony orchestra. The work, which will be played in a competition for violinists of a very high level, should display the candidate musician's qualities as a violinist and musicality, taking into account the fact that the twelve finalists will have just eight days to learn the work and will only have limited rehearsal time with the orchestra.
