Registration must be online by June 1, 2010. Contest open to first 100 online registrants in each of 3 geographical USA regions: Southeast, New England, Midwest. Registrants may be any age and level of experience, but must be residents or full-time student residents in one of the three regions.

Composers will be given artisitc requirements for a 4-6 minute movement for mixed chamber ensemble at the start of a 14-Day period: June 7-21, 2010; an original work is to be composed during that time and submitted by mail with postmark date of June 21, 2010.

Cash prizes total $11,500. Prizes will be awarded to regional finalists and winners in Regional Competition Concerts October 2010. National Competition Concert judges (led by Robert Spano, Music Director of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra) will award the National First Prize Commission of $5000 at the National Competition Concert Jan 16, 2011, to complete the work for premiere performance by all three regional ensembles in the 2011-2012 season. There will also be an Audience Favorite Prize of $500 to be chosen by Internet voting for the National Finalists. National Winner will also be awarded one week residency at the Hambidge Center in the north Georgia mountains.
