The Face of Compassion Arts Competition

All winners and top placing finalists will be published in a book, a DVD, and/or CD to be made available for sale on the web and at future events with all proceeds going towards the Compassion Movement.

Each entry requires a $10 donation towards the Compassion Movement. You may enter as many times as you wish in each category.

The Categories:

* Fine Art
* Poetry
* Essay
* Short Story
* Short Screenplay
* Song
* Video

Each entry will be judged according to how well it portrays and expresses’ the “Face of Compassion”. The entries should educate, entertain, and express the practice of compassion in some form. Each entry will be judged by professionals in each field. Each entry must be an original piece submitted by the creator of the piece. Entrants must have complete rights to the piece.

Requirements:

Fine Art Category:
Each entry should be no more than 8X10 in size, and should be send as a .jpg or .png, and no larger than 10MB in size. They can be any media you prefer, scanned in or reproduced as a .jpg or .png file.

Literary Category (Poetry, Essay, Short Story, & Short Screenplay):
Poetry and Essay’s should be no more than 2 pages in length (double spaced). Short stories and screenplays can be up to 10 (double spaced). They can be sent as a word .doc file, .rtf file or .pdf.

Song Category:
No longer than 4 minutes in length, submitted as a .mp3 file. All components of the piece must be original.

Video Category:
No longer than 10 minutes in length. They must be in Quicktime format only (they can be HD or non HD). Every person involved in the project must sign a release form agreeing to your use of their work as an entry in the competition.
