LSO Soundhub: A platform for emerging composers

Based at LSO St Luke’s, LSO Soundhub provides a flexible environment where composers can explore, collaborate and experiment, with access to vital resources, support from industry professionals and LSO members and staff.

Soundhub is a composer-led resource, responding directly to the needs of those using it: a supportive framework for artists to try out new ideas, develop existing work and benefit from peer-to-peer networking and support.

The purpose of the role:
To give an aspiring Artistic Director the opportunity to work alongside one of the UK's leading chamber music ensembles.

KEEP COMPOSER'S WEIRD MELBOURNE 2017

A residency for emerging composers worldwide, to be held in Melbourne on 5th to 11th of November 2017.

Keep Composer's Weird provides an opportunity for selected composers from around the world, ages 21+, to submit a newly composed work that is to be rehearsed, recorded and performed at a concert in Melbourne. Each composer will work with a Melbourne ensemble to workshop their composition and the performance will take place on Saturday 11th of November.

With the support of “Spaziomusica” organization of Cagliari (Sardinia, Italy) the MA/IN 2017 - MAtera Intermedia Festival promotes the creation of a NEW WORK for VOICE + Electronics/Multimedia.

+ Works should be composed specifically for this project.
+ Works should be for voice (soprano) and electronics (live or fixed) or multimedia (audio-video/ lights).
+ All pieces must be not previously performed.
+ Unfinished works are accepted only if a detailed project description and a recording excerpt are provided.

Selected works will be performed TWICE: the world premiere at the 36th Festival Spaziomusica (Cagliari, early October 2017), the second performance during the MA/IN 2017 (Matera early December 2017).

The Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, located in Nebraska City, NE offers from sixty to seventy juried residencies per year to visual artists, writers, composers, and interdisciplinary artists from across the country and around the world. Our next deadline is September 1, 2017.

The Center accommodates up to five artists at a time for stays that vary from two to eight weeks. Each resident is provided with private bedroom, private bathroom, their own studio space, fully equipped kitchen and a weekly $100 stipend for the duration of their stay.
