Call for Electronic Music: 1-4 channels of subwoofers

The Canadian Music Centre is collaborating with artist and organizer Matt Horrigan to present a concert of works for subwoofers. Composers of any age and nationality are invited to submit electronic music that has been created for subwoofers—1-4 channels of audio. Half of the program will consist of a new composition, Heavy Traffic, written for electric guitar and subwoofers which is about outside noise coming through the walls into private space. The other half of the program will be selected through this open call.

Kansas City Performing Media Festival

Michael Miller and Eric Souther, in conjunction with Charlotte Street Foundation of Kansas City, are seeking proposals for new audio-visual collaborative works to be performed by Mnemosyne Quartet during the Kansas City Performing Media Festival (KC PMF). The winning five composers and five video artists will be granted a commission of $100 each to collaborate, and create a five to eight minute audio-visual work. Proposals are due by April 27th by 11:59 PM, and all winners will be announced by May 15th.

Alterity.co is a seventeen member chamber orchestra focused on performing the music of living composers.
Since our Inaugural concert in April of 2017, which featured Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time, we have performed over a dozen concerts ranging from four players to full chamber orchestra, including many world premiere performances of works by local composers.

In our first Call for Scores we are looking for music for either our Chamber Series or our Chamber Orchestra Series.

ELIGIBILITY:
